Friday:
Excuse the blur ... wet camera lens. Brian (yellow) decided to explore the woods and then high side. His first high side. Having hossed an LC4 around these woods for 3 years, I give Brian two thumbs up for doing the ride on a beast.
Zach (18 yo, HS senior, sometime MC racer) trying the "Grand Canyon Route" ...
"How many ... " A Snap-On dealer and two auto-tech instructors exploring the ignition system on a Ford.
Saturday. Drier, but the streams were still up.
The "girly-girly men" pose for a group shot. The stream crossing and hill climb in the previous videos led into this. Or you could try to stay on the trail and do a sharp left turn. You can see we didn't choose the left turn. Kind of looks like Tracy and his posse.
Lunch stop. Troy's group was just ahead of us so we stopped. Tracy, standing in red, was seated where he is standing throughout lunch. See the third picture down for what Brian spotted as Daryl almost sat down next to Tracy ...
Sunday. Foggy and cool, but no rain. Brian and Lee swapped bikes for a while. This is how Brian returned Lee's bike. Note the added shock adjuster.
So, here I am following Brian at what I thought was a safe distance ... when he goes and gets momentarily stuck in a mud hole ... I catch up (I should have stopped) just as Brian gasses his bike. All I could see was giant clumps of mud flying back toward me. I ducked my head and rode on.
Thought this might make a nice computer background screen.
Bee Bluff. We did the route backwards (clockwise), so we went up the steep rocky slope to get there. I didn't make it cleanly, stopping halfway both times I tried it. I didn't need help and didn't drop the bike, so I guess I succeeded. Brian and Lee rode around and came in CCW.
Getting ready to load the bikes. Note my map holder.
My homemade ski boot drier that will be coming along next time. 4" 12VDC computer fan, end cap for 4" corregated drain tile, 1.5" hose for sump pumps, scavenged DC power supply. No heat so no worries about melting boots. Dries ski boots in a few hours ... should do the same for MC boots. Much quieter than a hair (blow) drier PVC tree arrangement.
