Hi Gretel,
My name is Jessie Wetzel and I am a black and tan 8 year old MinPin. I live with my Mom & Dad and my sister Casey( 6 year old Sheltie), in Massachusetts.
I enjoyed reading about you on your web site. It seems we have a lot in common. I too, like to not come when my parents are calling me. I'd rather them chase me around screaming, I find it funny. I also love to sun myself whenever I get the chance. I will lay in the sun for hours, until I am so hot, my eyes start tearing. I hate the cold winters here in Massachusetts, I usually fight my Mom in the cold weather when she tries to make me go outside to the bathroom. My favorite thing to do in the winter months is curl up in my blankets in front of the kitchen radiator, it's so cozy!
Other things I like to do consist of constantly torchering my sister Casey, it's so fun to bark at her until her head is spinning for no good reason. I also like to steal from anyone that comes over my house to see my parents. I'm really good in going into peoples purses and jackets and stealing gum, money, cigarettes, pens, papers etc. then I hoard everything in my kennel, until my Mom finds it and I get in trouble.
I am very educated, I have two diplomas from dog obedience school. I first went to private school as a puppy. Then as an adult I went to a class with a bunch of other dogs. I didn't really learn too much though, I was too busy fooling around with my friend Bailey during class. People find it hard to believe that I have two diplomas, I don't know why.
I also love riding in the car, my favorite place to go is to Dunkin Donuts with my Mom. I like to eat plain munchkin donuts. yummy!
I also love to dress up. I have some great clothes and caps that I love to wear. As a matter of fact, I even won a photo contest at my Mom's work in one of my trendy outfits. My favorite is a fleece winter jacket I have that I love to wear, even indoors. I usually growl and bite at my Mom when she tries to take it off me.
My sister Casey always wants to play with me, she just doesn't understand that I am not interested. I am a person, not a dog, I wish she would hurry up and figure it out! Sometimes I'll humor her and chase her around, but that's as far as it goes. She gets me mad though, she is always kissing up to Mom & Dad and making me look bad. It has absolutley nothing to do with my own behavior, it's Casey's fault.
All in all, I am very nosey and mischievous, but I love people. I love to sit on people's laps, and cuddling is my favorite! I can be very sweet and from what I hear everyone thinks I'm fresh, but they can't help but love me! I have a certain attitude to my personality which makes me somewhat endearing (at times).
