Obituary.

Gring—

            Wilhelmina Bitter was born in Kreutzburg Germany, Dec. 2. 1830 (discrepancy in birth date) and died in Bucklin, Kansas May 14, 1908.  Aged 76yr. 5mo. 12da.

            She was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in early life and continued in that Church all her life. 

            She was united in marriage to Carl Gring in 1859.  To this union were born nine children, three having died in infancy.

            The deceased leaves to mourn her loss a husband and six children: Mrs. Gusa Davison, Mrs. Mary Rapp, Edward Gring, Mrs. Milly Coons, Emil Gring, Theresa McAllister and 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

            The deceased with her husband and children moved to Milwaukee Wis., in 1874.  They came to Kansas in 1876 settling in the northeast part of Ford Co. where they resided on a farm until five month ago when they moved to Bucklin.

            The deceased has been in poor health for a number of years, gradually declining until Thursday morning at 2 o’clock  the summons came and she joined the host above waiting the coming of loved ones.

            The funeral services were held at the Methodist Episcopal Church, conducted by the pastor Rev. Chas. E. Williams and Rev. Rog Allison, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, after which the internment took place in Bucklin cemetery.

Obituary.

            Nancy Ann Walker was born in Johnson Co., Indiana March 6, 1837 and departed this life Nov. 20, 1908 (discrepancy in death date).  On Feb. 19, 1852 she was married to Joseph Coons.  To this union were born eight children of which four daughters, Mrs. Ida A. Pierce of Rensselaer, Ind., Mrs. Rose A. Fishback of Mt. Hope, Kan., Mrs. Eva B. Bryan of Greensburg, Kan., and Mrs. Carrie Ellis of Bucklin, Kan., survive her.

            Her husband died April 20, 1904.  She united with the Church of Christ in early life and was always a faithful member.

            The funeral service was held at the Methodist church, being conducted by Rev. Kennedy, Christian minister from Minneola.

            The remains were interred in the Bucklin cemetery.
