Wallace Parkinson, of Rensselaer, Indiana, an old friend and schoolmate of S. E. Coons, was here a few days. He purchased the C. W. Mills ranch of 1100 acres over in Kiowa County. Mr. P. will return here about March 1 and take charge of his new purchase.

The citizens meeting last Tuesday night was called to order by S. E. Coons. John Wilson was chosen chairman and M. A. Jones secretary. There was a good attendance and the advisability of incorporating the town was discussed to some extent, but the question was not decided. A committee was appointed to investigate the matter and report at a meeting that was called for Tuesdays night, February 25, when the question will be further discussed.
