Township Ticket.
There was but little excitement attending the election of the township ticket. Republicans, to a man, stood by the ticket, and all but about a half dozen democrats did so. Election day, an attempt was made by the disaffected to make up a new ticket and the result is shown in the scattering vote. It is but justice to some of these candidates to state that their names were used on this ticket without their knowledge or consent and that these same candidates voted the union ticket.
