01/09/02 - Subframe and dolly

Well, didn't get much done on the car. However, I did build a dolly system to allow me to move it around the garage. The dollies can hold up to 2,000lbs and its a breeze to move. I've had people stand on it and it still moves very smooth.

The plan is to build as much as possible on the subframe and when its ready, roll the whole assembly under the car and bolt it up. This should make the work easier and hopefully reduces the potential of gashing the firewall when the engine goes back in.

As for the subframe - the pictures below show how rock solid this entire car is (be sure to scroll down to see all three). The subframe has no rust pitting, dents (a few scrapes on the bottom), and it measures square as can be. I couldn't be happier!!!
