The Car: The 'Numbers'

The 295hp/350SS motor - correct except for '69 Z-28 Air cleaner & Dynomax headers.

The Numbers

This car was purchased as original. At the time (10/2001), the motor, transmission or any other major mechanical part appeared untouched. The chart below compares accuracy of the "As purchased" column to an original 327c.i.-210hp car and the accuracy of the "As built (350SS)" column to a numbers correct 350 SS

car.  Original parts not reused for the 350 conversion were carefully stored. Great care was taken to get correct part numbers & date codes for the 350 'upgrade'.

# - In 1968, many parts were the same for both the 327 and 350, including the engine block. Parts are correct  for both engines.
! - incorrect part, part number, or date code
% - Delco Remy used a different date coding method, listing year, month, and date. Additionally, Delco choose not to use the 'I' to prevent confusion with the number 1. 'J' designates Sept.
