Underbody
First and foremost, let me
say growing up in the Midwest, a "California rust free car"
was only an urban legend. Rust free? Yeah right... and it was my
brother's second cousin's best friend's neighbor who found Elvis's
Harley under the tarp on the way to see the little old lady's '67
Chevy that her son - who died in Vietnam - parked and turned out to be
an L-88 Corvette with 200 miles. Well, I'm here to tell you - at least
the "California/desert car" legend is true!
The underside of this car
is amazing. The work consisted of degreasing, cleaning, preventive
rust proofing for any bare metal, priming, and painting. I did ZERO
bodywork. No bondo, no welding, no patching, no nuttin'. Clean,
paint, done. See for yourself....
