Body
The body on this car is
incredible. I thought this car was as
rust free as it got, but after taking off the front clip, I found rust
in a very unusual spot - especially considering all the other
"normal" rust areas were spotless. The problem area was in the
passenger side cowl. It was an incredibly amateur repair job. I
repaired it as correctly as I could. Why did I spend so much time repairing a spot
nobody can see? Because if you're going to do it - do it right! Plus
it was good practice.
I later found the source of
the rust - the car still had its original heater core!! It was stamped
with a date code of 9 67 and appeared to be leaking for awhile. It was
disconnected when I bought the car.
