He joined Henry Percy, Earl of Northumberland, who had taken up arms against Henry the Fourth, in 1405. They were defeated, and Sir Henry, with seven others, was executed at Sadbury, in Yorkshire, on the second day of July 1405. He married Elizabeth, daughter of Sir John Merrifield, Knt. and by her had daughters Janett and Elizabeth, and two sons: Thomas who died at the age of 12 yrs. and William.
