After Samuel Starr's death, she joined the church in Ridgefield by profession of faith and had Olive & Samuel baptised. Aug. 21, l776, she received a letter to the church in Bethel.
John probably came with his brother to New England in l638. He purchased 22 acres of land in Cambridge, Mass., and lived there until l642, when he returned to England. He died in England.

JOHN NORCROSS, son of Thomas and Mary (Chappell) Norcross, was born in England, about l590. He died in England after l642. He married in England, about l6ll. The name of his wife is unknown. Upon arriving in America in l638, he purchased 22 acres of land in Cambridge, Mass., and lived there until l642, when he returned to England.

He was the eldest son & a London Merchant. He belonged to the Haberdashers Co. of London & was freed from his apprenticeship by his father on Feb. 12, 1611.

I have found very little information on him. Savage says he lived in Watertown, & then New Haven. He probably died in New Haven for after his death his wife married a New Haven man & married in New Haven. The only children I have records of are those who were born in New Haven.
