Isaac Summers

Isaac Summers, 72, died 23 December 1896 at the home of his son-in-law M. W. Miller in Morrow township from an abcess of the liver. He was born in Chariton twp, Macon Co MO 30 May 1824, the son of Johnson Summers. He married Miss Rebecca Morrow, a niece of Jefferson Morrow Sr. at the age of 21. His wife died last April. Five children, Mrs. M. W. Miller, Will Summers, Jeff Summers, J. W. Summers, Johnson Summers and J. L. Summers survive. Waymire Summers of Chariton twp, Johnson Summers of Macon, and Green Summers of Ethel are his brothers and Mrs. Jeff Morrow, Sr., Mrs. W. M. Singleton and Mrs Henry Wright are sisters He was on of the oldest native born citizens of Macon Co. Christian church, burial Concord Church.
