Notes from Margaret Austin:
Religion: Baptist
She married Robert Green, son of William Green Sr. & Judy/Juda 25 Dec.l794 in Patrick Co., Va.
His occupation: Farmer.
Residence: Patrick Co, Va; Wayne Co, Ky; Randolph Co, Mo.Patrick Co., Va. is a mountainous, beautiful, thinly-populated area lodged between the Blue Ridge Mountains & the NC border. The county was formed in l79l from Henry County. Later, parts of it were cut off when Grayson & Carroll Counties were formed so that Patrick now is smaller than when our ancestors lived there. William Green's first known land was Henry Co. Deed book 3:524, when he purchased 400 acres from John Marr for l00 lbs. 28 April l789. This was at the foot of Bell Spur in what became Patrick Co.
The first court was in June l79l and several Hammons, Blanchetts, and William & Robert Green are mentioned in the first Order Book.
A particularily intriguing entry is that of 30 Jan. l800: Henry Fry appeared in Court, along with Rob (Robert) Green his security & acknowledged themselves severally in trust to the Commonwealth of Va. Fry in the sum of 50 lb. and his security 25 lb... on condition that the said Henry Fry be not of good behavior towards the citizens...and more especially towards Elihu Ayrs, for l2 months & l day & that all the petitions & answers now ready for trial be continued until the next Court. (Note: not heard at any Court through Aug., the end of this order book. No Fry names are known to be related to the Greens. It would have to be a relative or close friend to pledge 25 lbs. security. Both American dollars & Colonial pounds were in use at this time.)

Grandma Kate Hill Morrow was married before she married Jeff Morrow & had a boy named Bert Jackson. He was a frail child & they were virtually homeless. She prayed God would send Bertie a Father & her a husband. Then she met Jeff Morrow. He had a boy Willie Morrow & a girl Rose by a previous marriage. Willie's wife's name was Betty. He died of TB as a young man. But Bert Jackson was killed in an accident as a young man. He was helping to unload sand and he was buried in it. When they dug him out, his watch was still ticking. Grandma Kate Morrow died of cancer of the uterus.

Thelma (Sid) MitchellGlen Morrow Williams lived with his Grandma & Grandpa Morrow for a couple of years as a young child.
Jeff & Kate Morrow lived on a ranch in Oklahoma at the turn of the Century. Kate was a cook & Jeff was an all-around ranch hand. At some point they moved to southeast Kansas in the Chetopa/Coffeyville area. On the l920 Census they are living in Kansas City, Kansas & he is working as a laborer in a soap factory. I believe my Dad said he worked with Colgate, Palmolive, Peat. At the time of his death, their daughter, Myrtle Morrow Williams Wilbur was living with them.
