Notes

Benjamin Floyd Williams

Notes about Benjamin Floyd Williams come from Jennie Soder

She gives birth, death dates for Benjamin as well as burial location. She states, "His father may have been an Isaac or Isaiah Williams, but his guardian (uncle?) was a John Williams from Pulaski Co., Ky.

Gary Williams states " In 1838, B. F. and Sally chose their older brother, John Riley (for whom my grandfather was named) as their guardian. The "age of discretion" for boys was 14, verifying his birth as in 1822."

Gary Williams also states " On June 3, 1850, the heirs of Isaac Williams deeded land on Fishing Creek in Lincoln County to Benjamin Floyd (the younger). $97 had been paid to Isaac during his lifetime. The list of heirs included a "Billy Williams", who didn't sign the deed, and about whom we know absolutely nothing."
